Professional Foot Trimming Course
Westpoint are running a 2 day course to equip you wih the skills to care for cattles' feet.
During the course you will learn about disease, aftercare and the impact of trimming incorrectly.
The course will consist of a half day on the anatomy of the cows foot and identifying lesions then the rest of the time will be practical foot trimmong focusing on the 5 step method prevention and cure.
This is a practical hands on course and you will have the opportunity to ask questions in an open and relaxed environment.
Key skills covered
- Create a hoof care tool kit and how to maintain it
- Identify and deal with individual lameness problems
- Know when to trim
- Handle the animal when in the crush
- Learn the correct way to block a hoof
A certificate will be provided on completion.

*A 25% deposit will be required to book your place on the course. If cancelling within 3 days of the course date, 50% of the total fee will be charged. Failure to turn up on the day without prior warning will be charged the full amount.
