Changes to Betamox LA 150mg/ml Injection
Please be aware that the withdrawal periods and maximum injection site volumes have been changed with IMMEDIATE effect for Betamox LA.
Dosage & Administration
Cattle, Sheep and Pigs : By intramuscular injection only.
The recommended dosage rate is 15mg per kg bodyweight, (1ml/10kg bodyweight) repeatable if necessary after 48 hours.
A separate injection site should be used for each administration.
Max Injection site volume
Cattle: 15ml
Sheep & Pigs: 4ml
Withdrawals

Please note that the withdrawal periods and maximum injection site volumes for Betamox® LA 150mg/ml Suspension for Injection (Amoxicillin 150mg) have increased to the below with immediate effect:
Cattle:
Meat: 39 days
Milk: 108 hours (4.5 days)
Sheep:
Meat: 29 days
Not authorised for use in sheep producing milk for human consumption
Pigs: 42 days
