Dosage & Administration

Cows:

Dosage

• A course of three infusions per infected quarter – one syringe given every 48 hours.
• Individual syringes must only be used once.

Administration

• Clean and disinfect the teat end thoroughly with surgical spirit after milking.
• Insert nozzle into the teat and apply gentle and continuous pressure until the suspension is expressed.
• The treated quarter(s) may be milked out at the next normal milking time.

Ewes:

Dosage

• A single infusion should be made into each udder half at weaning.

Administration

• It is important that a simple hygienic procedure is followed. One operator should turn up and hold each ewe whilst a second person carries out the infusion technique.
• Clean and disinfect each teat end thoroughly with surgical spirit.
• Appose the syringe nozzle to the teat orifice and apply gentle, continuous pressure to express the suspension in the udder. Actual cannulation of the teat orifice is neither necessary nor desirable.
• Use a fresh syringe for each udder half to avoid the possibility of cross contamination during infusion.

Withdrawals

Milk:

• Cattle 96 hours
• Not for use in ewes producing milk for human consumption.

Meat:

• Cattle and sheep 7 days

Please note there is a small excess of £7.50 for dispatch to Highlands and Islands and Isle of Wight and £12 to Guernsey and Jersey as governed by your postcode.

3. Orders placed on a Thursday or Friday that have refrigerated items included will be dispatched on Sunday for delivery before 12pm on the following Monday to ensure that the items are delivered to you under controlled conditions. 
4. We do not offer a Saturday or Sunday delivery service.
5. Standard and Priority costs apply to the UK mainland only. Highlands and Islands and Isle of Wight may incur an excess to cover additional carriage costs as governed by your postcode. Full details can be found by clicking the link below.
6. Standard Delivery (non-refrigerated products) guarantees delivery by 6pm
7. Priority Delivery (refrigerated products) guarantees delivery by 12pm.

Faulty Goods Returns

In the unlikely event that you receive faulty or damaged goods please call 01306 628215 within 72 hours of receipt of your goods. Please have your order reference to hand. You will be asked to provide evidence of the damaged goods if damaged in transit.
