Dosage & Administration

The product is contained within a 10 ml or 15 ml polyethylene syringe. The plunger has a locking ring which should be adjusted to provide the volume required in accordance with the dosage guidelines. 1.0 ml intervals are printed on the syringe plunger, but it is also possible to dose at 0.5 ml intervals.

Before first use of the syringe, turn the locking ring clockwise until aligned with the 0.0 ml mark (side of the ring facing the barrel). Turn the locking ring anticlockwise will move the ring backwards. Turn the locking ring backwards until the left side of the locking ring lines up with the volume of the oral gel to be administered.

Place the syringe in the animal's mouth and expel the required dose into the cheek pouch. The gel may also be mixed with food.

Moderate sedation: 0.15 mg acepromazine per kg body weight.

The dose may be varied to administer between 0.5 and 1.5 times the above recommendation depending on the level of sedation required, i.e. for mild sedation, administer half the recommended dose and for deeper sedation, administer 1½ times the recommended dose.

Withdrawals

Not authorised for use in horses intended for human consumption.

Delivery to United Kingdom only

Please note there is a small excess of £7.50 for dispatch to Highlands and Islands and Isle of Wight and £12 to Guernsey and Jersey as governed by your postcode.

1. We are unable to ship to Northern Ireland. Any orders placed online will be cancelled and refunded.
2. Orders are typically dispatched the day after they are received. For example, orders placed on Monday, will be dispatched on Tuesday. Orders received on Friday will not be dispatched until Monday subject to stock availability.
3. Orders placed on a Thursday or Friday that have refrigerated items included will be dispatched on Sunday for delivery before 12pm on the following Monday to ensure that the items are delivered to you under controlled conditions. 
4. We do not offer a Saturday or Sunday delivery service.
5. Standard and Priority costs apply to the UK mainland only. Highlands and Islands and Isle of Wight may incur an excess to cover additional carriage costs as governed by your postcode. Full details can be found by clicking the link below.
6. Standard Delivery (non-refrigerated products) guarantees delivery by 6pm
7. Priority Delivery (refrigerated products) guarantees delivery by 12pm.

Faulty Goods Returns

In the unlikely event that you receive faulty or damaged goods please call 01306 628215 within 72 hours of receipt of your goods. Please have your order reference to hand. You will be asked to provide evidence of the damaged goods if damaged in transit.
